One of the strongest assets of this chapter
is the alumni structure. Our alumni are
among the most active within greek life
at North Texas. In 2010 Alpha Tau
Alumni contributed a significant amount
of donations towards the alumni pavilion
for the new stadium. There is a bench
(shown in the picture below) at the Pavilion
dedicated to the generosity of our Alumni.
Great annual events are organized by our
Alumni and Sector board members. These
events are organized with the intention of
closing the gap between older and newer
generations to make the best out of our
brotherhood. This is something that
characterizes us and sets us apart from the
rest. Once you join Lambda Theta Phi, you
are a brother for life. Regardless of the time
passed since graduation brothers will always
have a second home at Alpha Tau.
Our alumni structure is composed of individuals from all around the work force. From the UNT Alumni Association Board to the US senate. Therefore, being part of our alumni structure can be a great advantage when looking for a job after graduation.

"I was a freshman and wanted to get involved on campus. I wanted to join something that would give me scholarly support. Once I joined I was quickly lead to an alumni brother who was studying at South America at the time. He gave me tips and helped me get into the Honors College."

Annual Events
Below we will mention some of our annual events organized by our alumni and by our Texas Sector 2 E-Board members. As mentioned above, these events help brothers get together and catch up while having fun. Its also a great opportunity for potential new members to meet brothers and see why we cherish our brotherhood so much.

Every year alumni from all around the nation come back to UNT for the annual founders tailgate, typically celebrated during the homecoming weekend.
"Its crazy how I keep meeting new brothers every year at the tailgate."
-Angel Huichapa SP12

Without a doubt the best event of the year. Alumni from TCU, UNT, Tarelton State, UTA, Texas Tech and Texas Wesleyan compete for the annual Texas Sector II 7 on 7 football tournament.
"I love coming back every year and seeing new faces. 7 on 7 is the event of the year no brother wants to miss. It gets very competitive."
-Justin Stewart FA04

Texas Retreat is a more formal setting in which brothers gather up to discuss new ways to improve the fraternity and propose new initiatives.
There is a saluting competition at the end of the event where new members compete for the title of "Best in Texas". The winner gets to take home a traditional paddle. Every time there is a new winner, the name of the Line is imprinted on the paddle. The picture on the left was taken at the Texas retreat at Texas A & M.
Currently UNT hold the title "Texas Saluting Champion". The Line that won the competition was Tau SP12.
